Irish Gulch Cabin

This solar powered cabin is hand crafted of native logs and utilizes salvaged windows, doors, cabinets and fixtures. It is located at the southern end of the Wind River Mountains and is nestled into a small grove of aspen and limber pine overlooking Irish Gulch. The footprint is only 25’ x 22’ and was based on the length of a log that the two owners could pick up and maneuver. The terrain slopes away from the site resulting in a view out of the east window of the sleeping loft that is directly into the starry night sky – and at 8,000 feet above sea level, the stars are abundant and bright.
